Gift Food Baskets for All Kinds of Holiday Giving

Author: Eriani Doyel

You dont have to limit gift food baskets for Christmas holiday giving. There are baskets for every holiday and occasion from New Years to Kwanzaa and everything in between. Gift food baskets make great gifts because nearly everyone appreciates food and there are so many different baskets available. You can even make your own gift food baskets and use your creativity to personalize them for the recipient. Here are some ideas to help you find the perfect basket to fit the holiday.

Since Christmas is the most popular time to give gift food baskets, it is fairly easy to find one online that will fit your needs. If you are sending the baskets long distance, this may be a way to simplify your giving at a busy time of year. However, if you have a little time, and you are not going to be mailing the baskets, you might want to think about putting gift food baskets together yourself. Fill a basket with a Christmas storybook, some stockings, some hot drink mix and some candles for a Christmas Eve theme. Or, you can make a Santa basket with a cookie plate, some cookies, a mug and some stationery for writing a note to the Big Guy.

Kwanzaa is a time to reflect on valuable principles and to be grateful for the fruits of the earth. Fill the gift food baskets with tasty, simple foods and some black, green, and red candles to light the kinara.

It is not uncommon to find kosher Jewish gift food baskets online to give for Hanukkah, a special Shabbat, Purim, Passover, and other Jewish holidays.

When Easter rolls around, baskets are a common sight-but they are generally for children. Give the adults their own baskets with gourmet chocolates, some wine, and fresh flowers or bulbs in a pot.

You may not think you need any more candy at Halloween, so send a basket with flashlights or glow sticks, pumpkin carving tools and maybe some popcorn or pumpkin seeds.

Independence Day is a time for barbecues. You can fill a cooler or drink tub with barbecue fixings such as sauce, tools, and even some drinks.

Be creative and give gifts for every holiday.
