Multiple Hand Video Poker Machines

Author: John Finney

Video poker is one of the hottest trends in the current poker craze. Video poker comes in almost as many flavors as there are poker games. One variation of the video poker machine itself that is starting to gain in popularity is the Multiple Hand Video Poker Machine, often called simply Multi-Hand machines.

Multiple Hand Video poker machines have games that offer 3 or more hands, and can be played in increments of $.01, $.05, $.25, $.50 or $1.00. Players may play any number of coins from one to up to five coins per hand. Players also have the ability to choose play three hands, ten hands, fifty two hands or up to one hundred hands.

When playing a game which has three or more hands, you can click the Pay Table button to get an overview of that particular machines payout based on coins played.

As in other types of video poker machines, all cards are drawn at random to fill in all the spots. Once any card has been discarded by the player, the discarded cards cannot reappear in any subsequently dealt hands.

Video Poker Hands Rankings

Most video poker hands are almost always ranked in order; however pay tables may vary from machine to machine, and the payout tables are always posted on each multi hand video poker machine.

Video Poker combines both Luck and skill. The luck part is the cards that are randomly dealt to the player. The skill part encompasses much more then simply knowing what to hold and what to fold. In this article we'll discuss some of the things every video poker player should be doing, regardless of their game play strategy.

Whether you play at a Multi Hand Video Poker machine or a Single Hand machine, you should always follow two important rules. First, always play at full pay machines, and secondly, always play the maximum amount of coins allowed. By doing this, when you hit a winning hand, youll always win bigger than if you had skimped on the full pay and the max coins.
